Gun sundial ( # 6)

This sundial has an aesthetic rather than functional value. The design recalls those in use in countries where the "timekeeper" in charge simply fired a gun to notice people noon had come. In this sundial too, when at noon the sun ray hits the lens it burns the powder and the little gun fires !! Varying each day the height of the sun, the lens must be moved to the proper angle.
