Artistic sundial ( # 29 )

Designing my orrery n°25 I had in my mind another instrument to read the equation of time
This instrument had to be an orrery "melted" with a sundial.

The orrery and the clock to give
middle time, and the sundial to give the solar time.

As everybody knows the equation of time is the difference between these two readings.
To make such a difference the reading of the solar time is to be very precise , at least to the prime minute.

As soon the orrery was finished, I realized it was impossible to make a sundial with this feature and small enough to keep a pleasant aesthetic appearance to the instrument .

My choice was to build a sundial completely separate big enough to allow a quite precise reading.
For each turn of the round handle, the sundial line of faith moves of one hour on the main dial.

The minutes ring handle had been engraved with divisions larger enough to allow, with a reasonable interpolation ,the seconds reading.
