I here used the stator of a washing machine water pump: power and an easily accessible hole are guaranteed (....be quiet !)

 

DEPTHING TOOL

A must to check the depth of two toothed wheels. Once a perfect meshing is obtained you can mark the plates and make the pivots holes.
